The Application Process
The Criminal Records Bureau has launched a
virtual guide to the Disclosure application process. This guide is
designed to shed light on the Disclosure process, and is useful for
those who are interested in how a CRB check is carried out - from
completion of the form to the final recruitment or licensing
decision, you’ll find out what happens to your information
on each step of the way.
The guide:
- explains and clarifies each stage of the application process
and
- identifies what can be done to ensure a speedy service.
The guide is primarily
aimed at those who need to apply for a CRB check - providing a
simple, clear and concise explanation of the application process.
However, it can also be used as part of an induction process for
your own Countersignatories.
The CRB has issued one copy of the guide to each Lead
Countersignatory. If you would like additional copies please email
our communication team on communications@crb.gsi.gov.uk
(subject to availability).
